Elyon gets even more screentime here （YAY）， and we get a very interesting look at the Oracle's past。 The Oracle especially， really grows as a character here， which is more than I can say about W。I。T。C。H。 One of the strong points of this series is the writers' ability to continually grow our characters， having them remember past lessons and mistakes in their future decisions。 Many writers of long story arcs often have their characters conveniently forget lessons they've learned and essentially re Elyon gets even more screentime here （YAY）， and we get a very interesting look at the Oracle's past。 The Oracle especially， really grows as a character here， which is more than I can say about W。I。T。C。H。 One of the strong points of this series is the writers' ability to continually grow our characters， having them remember past lessons and mistakes in their future decisions。 Many writers of long story arcs often have their characters conveniently forget lessons they've learned and essentially repeat story arcs in slightly different ways。 Well， unfortunately W。I。T。C。H is no exception。 While the story typically does a great job with this， this volume in particular is not the strongest。I'm fairly certain the 5 girls already learned how to work together as a team， so why do we need another arc on this？ The arguments feel a bit forced， and it drags on far too long。 Will feeling all alone is nothing new， though we do get some nice scenes between Yan Lin and Will out of it。 The worst offender is， as usual， Will and Matt's relationship（？）。 I'm not even sure why Matt still likes her anymore。 They spend almost every scene together fighting。 Throughout the course of all the volumes so far， Will has seen him with another girl and mistakenly assumed her to be Matt's new girlfriend and given him the cold shoulder without even asking him to clarify not once， not twice， but THREE times。 They have once again made up and started dating （were they not before？） and are happy。。。 for maybe one scene before they start fighting about nothing again。 I cannot stand it。 All the other girls have functional （ie。 fighting occasionally but mostly being supportive and understanding） relationships with their crushes/boyfriends， so why do the writers feel the need to always have Matt and Will fighting？Still a good read， and I'm enjoying this arc。 Our main team having personal stakes in the fight makes it so much more interesting。 Pros: ELYON， more focus on the Oracle's character， side character development， personal stakes in the conflictCons: The 5 girls rather forced fighting and everything to do with Will and Matt。 。。。more

3。5/5While this is W。 I。 T。 C。 H。 and I'm still loving it， I did have some trouble with this book。 The story is on point and interesting， and I'm loving how they're using the many different worlds from the first arc and the story of Elyon， I'm still annoyed at the Matt/Will story which seem to be going in circles。My biggest problem， though， is the friend-ship story。 I feel like something is missing in it， like it's forced from the authors side， but at the same time I recognize how stupid it is f 3。5/5While this is W。 I。 T。 C。 H。 and I'm still loving it， I did have some trouble with this book。 The story is on point and interesting， and I'm loving how they're using the many different worlds from the first arc and the story of Elyon， I'm still annoyed at the Matt/Will story which seem to be going in circles。My biggest problem， though， is the friend-ship story。 I feel like something is missing in it， like it's forced from the authors side， but at the same time I recognize how stupid it is from my own youth and some of the arguments I were in。 How something apologized for could grow way out of proportions。 Wow， am I glad I'm not a teen anymore。。。 Anyway， overall a good book with a lot of fun things and a few not as fun。 Right now， I both want to rush on and read book 3 because I have it and want to know how this ends。 At the same time I don't want to rush it， because I have to wait until January before I can get my hands on the next arc。 。。。more
